Trust30: Worthwhile Day

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you
could.”

What is one thing you can do that would make today worthwhile? What’s stopping you from getting started right now?

First off, no more "days" in the title. This is going to roll on; we choose to roll with it.

"Sticking" point on this prompt; every single day, we can find something to make it worthwhile just by setting our POV correctly. If I can truly appreciate even one thing about a day, that is a worthwhile day.

Speaking just for myself, I can and normally do this each and every day.

Now the thing that I did today that claims high ground in the ebb and flow of the tidal pond of fear was that I stepped up and committed into new technology.

I am the proud owner of a brand spanking new HTC Thunderbolt smartphone on the Verizon 4G LTE network. This replaces a "perfectly good" LG flip phone that I purchased back in 2006!

To say that I went from a tricycle to a rocket ship about sums it up.

I was waiting, always waiting. When Verizon gets the iPhone... when the iPhone 5 comes out... maybe the dual core Droid Bionic, coming soon... etc .

When you have to make the change, you'll be aware of some clue that will reveal itself to you. In this case, the Verizon Wireless unlimited data plan ended yesterday and if I purchased a phone, I would have that plan follow me as long as I stay with Verizon. Considering everything that is being done with these "phones" today, knowing what's on the horizon, that was the tipping point. Yesterday, faith overcame fear.

Do I have a learning curve? ....Of course.

Am I willing to expand and grow in this opportunity? ....Yes.

Will I make mistakes and false starts? ....Already have.

Do I understand that the "world will not end" from these errors and that I can actually learn from them? ....Indeed!

That seems to me to be a representation of a perfectly wonderful, worthwhile day.

I am choosing to 'roll with it'. How can I not? I have learned so much from so many wonderful people. I never imagined any of this when I first started the challenge. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and for your support. I hope it rolls on for quite some time!! Take care.

    Peace, Nico

  2. Definitely rolling on with it over here.

I've been planning on getting an iPhone, but I missed the unlimited data plan by one day. So I suppose there's no hurry now. A little disappointing, but somehow I know that it will work out to my benefit in the long run.

    Enjoy the new learning curve.
